A visit to the Van Gogh Museum is a unique experience. The museum contains the largest collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh in the world. It provides the opportunity to keep track of the artist's developments, or compare his paintings to works by other artists from the 19th century in the collection. The museum also holds an extensive offer of exhibitions on various subjects from 19th century art history.

The Van Gogh Museum is within easy reach of the Museumplein in Amsterdam, between the Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk Museum.The museum entrance is at the Paulus Potterstraat 7. It can be reached by tram numbers 2 and 5 from the Central Station and by tram numbers 3 and 12 (crossroad Paulus Potterstraat-Van Baerlestraat). The museum is also accessible for disabled visitors. All floors can be reached via lift; wheelchairs and pushchairs are available free of charge.

About the tour:
Canal Bus provides the ideal transport along the canals of Amsterdam. The boats operate a regular service along the canals on three routes: the Green Line, the Red Line and the Blue Line. Click here for the Timetable.
The 14 stops are located near the major museums, attractions and shopping centres. With a Day Pass, which is valid till 12.00 in the afternoon the next day, you can hop on, hop off as often as you like. On board there is a commentary providing interesting information about Amsterdam.

Museum: daily 10:00am -6:00pm , Friday 10:00am - 10:00pm.
Ticket office: daily 10:00am-5:30pm; Friday to 9:30pm.
Shop: daily 10:00am -5:45pm; Friday to 9:45pm.
Restaurant: daily 10:am-5:30pm, Friday to 10:30pm, kitchen to 9:15pm.
Library Museumplein 4: Monday to Friday 10:00am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-5:00pm. Closed January 1st.

Canal Bus and Van Gogh Museum Day Pass is valid on the Green, Red and Blue lines for hop on hop off service and for entrance to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
Please present ticket upon boarding the Canal Bus and/or upon entrance to the Van Gogh Museum.
